Jane Scott Hodges and her family have returned to New Orleans after spending seven glorious years raising children, enjoying extended family and building friendships in the idyllic Kentucky Bluegrass where she was raised. Being back in New Orleans and having the opportunity to work from her New Orleans Flagship has been a rewarding change. Tucked back in a courtyard setting off of the famed Magazine Street in Uptown New Orleans the space combines the concept of Salon, Studio and Shop providing a refuge from the typical retail experience.
When she conceived of the Showroom in 2005, Jane Scott turned to her predecessor Eleanor Beard whose company she ultimately acquired and now stewards for inspiration. Eleanor Beard's boutiques from the 1930's were revered for their Salon style setting. Jane Scott played off of this model but infused a modern, studio-like atmosphere so the space could become a canvas for creativity as well.
The two-story, 1,400 square-foot Flagship, designed by local architect Brian Bockman, provides a serene and airy environment. The space's main floor displays Leontine product in stylized vignettes. Crisp white walls trimmed in chocolate, taupe, and lavender with beaded chandeliers hanging from above are a back-drop for whimsical white lacquered headboards dressed in couture linens. What results is an environment that is an oasis for creativity and relaxation. Please stop in and experience Leontine Linens for yourself.
