Our Story

Leontine Linens strives to provide our clients with bed, bath and table linens of the highest caliber and distinction.  The quality of fabrics and craftsmanship is surpassed only by the degree of personal attention our linens – and our clients – receive.

Our products are artfully crafted to express your personal style and expertly made so future generations can remember you through them. The luxury and quality will not fade with washings, nor will the special feeling that comes with adding a touch of opulence to everyday events.

Our Philosophy

Leontine Linens is inspired by the idea that we can create a product that not only reflects the personality of the owner but also survives as a part of the owner's legacy. Our products are influenced by old-fashioned values and created by time-tested techniques. We strive to continually create a product that not only is relevant to a modern home but also is an echo of the fashion and quality that came before us.

Making old things new again is not necessarily a cinch. Our team works diligently to create truly inspired collections. Whether pouring over history books or finding inspiration in a client's personal linen collection, we strive to create a fresh approach to dressing a house with all the warm details that transform it into a home.

An heirloom is distinguished by the memories tied to it. It is not a physical transformation, but takes place secretly over time. Leontine Linens creates products that require no fuss or worry to be able to use. Instead, you can go about your wear-and-tear life and, without even knowing it, you will be creating memories for your loved ones and for yourself.

Our designs are as flexible as you are creative. Whatever your style, we can transcribe it. And your message will be crafted to last so that every pillow fight with your best friend, every good book on a rainy day, and every dinner party that lasts well beyond the third bottle of wine becomes a part of your linen's history as well as your own.

Jane Scott Hodges

Jane ScottIn 1995, a 25 year old Jane Scott found herself leaving New Orleans to return to her home town of Georgetown, Kentucky in preparation for her wedding.  One day while sorting through her belongings in her parent’s cellar, Hodges discovered a treasure of monogrammed linens that belonged to her grandmother.  The beautifully worn linens with intricate monograms and embellishments sparked Jane Scott to find someone who could recreate her grandmother’s linens for her and her future husband.

The search for high-quality linens and unique embellishments was not easy and Jane Scott quickly realized a terrible void in the market.  Knowing that she would return to New Orleans to begin her married life, she was perplexed that couture monogrammed linens were not already available in a city so rich in cultural history and so steeped in sophistication.  The realization dawned on Jane Scott that she should focus her energy on creating a line of couture linens and she quickly and ferociously went to work sourcing the artisans and creating the designs that would become the signature of Leontine Linens.

By 1996, Jane Scott was meeting with her clients at their homes and returning to her back bedroom office to create unique products that were truly tailored to the lifestyle and aesthetic of the clients themselves.  Her husband, Philip, quickly became involved and assisted with the management of the company’s branding and business growth.  From the onset, both Jane Scott and Philip agreed that couture home products should be sold by in-home appointment and not in a storefront.  As Leontine Linens became increasingly recognized for their exquisite product and unique selling experience, Jane Scott placed polished style-setting women in other major cities as representatives of Leontine Linens.  The product gradually became available on a national level.

Jane Scott’s taste for timeless style and evocative appeal has combined with her refreshing approach to adding enjoyable luxuries to a lifestyle to create Leontine Linens.  The Hodges now own and act as caretakers to Eleanor Beard Studio, a historic company located in Hardinsburg, Kentucky that, since 1921, has hand-created couture linens known the world over for their superb design and quality.  Jane Scott continues to be recognized for her profound business sense and effortless influence on the ease and accessibility of couture linens.
